Lead GroundspersonEssex Cricket for the location at  Billericay Cricket Ground, working for Essex County Cricket Club, Leading a team of two, maintaining the squares and outfield at Essex CCC’s satellite ground in Billericay. (Role Expired)

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

None essential. But Level 2 or above, sportsturf qualification would be useful. 

Preferred: • Experience of sportsturf maintenance. • Able to work as part of a team. • Having good interpersonal skills. • Enthusiasm for the role.  

Additional notes: Teamwork is an essential part of the philosophy at Essex CCC, and we expect employees to conduct themselves with the highest standards to enhance cricket in Essex at all levels. We are committed to a policy where a work/life balance is essential, but there will be weekend work and unsocial hours during the cricket season.  

Roles & Responsibilities: (Role Expired)

An opportunity to work for a highly successful team, Essex County Cricket Club. As part of the Groundstaff you will be involved in the preparation and maintenance of the playing facilities at Billericay CC where our development centre is based, with possible occasional days at Essex CCC HQ at Chelmsford. • Upkeep of playing facilities, including turf nets to the required standard. • Maintaining machinery and equipment. • Reporting directly to Essex CCC Head Grounds person. • Prepared to work some unsociable hours.
