Diaries From St Andrews CC Groundsman
Hi all my name is Alex ,l work full time and around that l head up a team of volunteers helpers at my local cricket club.
We are all pretty young and also play cricket together or try,some more than others.I am going to try and do a monthly blog on what we get up to.
Early March
I Went to the ground today mainly to turn the power back on in the shed & do a ball stock take and have a look at the state of ground, as you can see its wet!
I haven’t been able to get out to the square since November / December!
Minor Annoyance
This year we have had a real problem with the rope being cut.. and its just that they are cutting it and not taking any away which just blows my mind! If your just cutting it to show your K**bh**d friends how sharp your knife is well p… off and buy your own rope! One positive out of it is i now have a group of dog walkers who phone me to tell me when it has happened!
Hoping to get out and give it a cut and feed next weekend maybe ,around weather and family commitments .
